This policy explains how Ryan Development, trading as RyanDev, handles personal information when you use this website, enquire about our services, or work with us.

Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • contact details such as your name, business name, email address, website URL, and message;
  • information you give us during enquiries, onboarding, support, or website updates;
  • technical and analytics information such as pages viewed, device/browser details, approximate location, referral source, campaign parameters, advertising click IDs, and interaction events;
  • campaign and enquiry metadata such as the landing page used, selected plan, whether a current website was provided, and whether an enquiry was successfully saved;
  • operational records needed to provide hosting, support, billing, security, and maintenance.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and provide website concepts, quotes, support, and managed services;
  • build, host, maintain, secure, and improve websites;
  • send service-related messages and notifications;
  • understand website performance, traffic, usability, and lead flow;
  • protect our systems, prevent spam, and investigate misuse;
  • meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

Analytics and Cookies

We use analytics tools, including PostHog and Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use this website and how enquiries are generated. Analytics and lead records may include campaign parameters or advertising click IDs when you arrive through an ad or tracked link. Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies, and may help us understand which pages, search terms, ads and contact paths are working.

We do not intentionally send form messages, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact-form content to analytics tools as event properties. Session recording, if enabled, must mask form inputs and personal fields.

New Zealand does not generally require a cookie consent banner for ordinary analytics by default, but we still disclose analytics use here and will adjust controls if the law, client requirements, or tool configuration requires it.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate this website and our services. These may include Cloudflare for hosting, security, DNS, forms, and storage; Resend for email sending; PostHog and Google Analytics for analytics; Stripe for payments; GitHub for source control and deployment workflows; and other tools needed to provide our services.

Some providers may process or store information outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate settings for the information involved.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS, access controls, secret management, security headers, bot protection where needed, and monitoring. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for enquiries, service delivery, support, accounting, legal, security, and business record purposes. Enquiry and campaign lead records are normally kept for up to 24 months unless a client relationship, accounting, legal, security, or dispute reason requires longer.

Your Rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to remove enquiry or campaign records where reasonable, or ask us not to contact you again for outreach. To make a request, email email us.
